Technology: 1960’s Style!

Every now and then Lady G likes to poke around on YouTube.

Don’t judge!

You’re at work and you’ve probably just finished looking at it yourself 😉

HA!

Anyway, several years ago I ran across this video that supposedly illustrates a 1960’s vision for future technologies.

While I can’t confirm the authenticity, I can tell you that this little gem tickles the hell out of my inner geek!   🙂

Anyway, it’s only about two minutes long so check it out and let me know what you think in comments.

Remember to check out “My Jams 93” tomorrow at 5pm 🙂

Have a magnificent day!

  2. I love the classic designs of old technology. The first televisions were extremely expensive and often came in mahogany cabinets with doors that closed to hide the small screen which was often no bigger than am IPAD.

BTW: I’ve nominated you for the Make It Ultra Blogging Award.

    1. Thank you so much Robert. It means so very much to me that you nominated me for that award.
I was actually “awarded” the “Make it Ultra” award last month. I did a post to accept.

Again, thank you for thinking of me 🙂

        1. Yeah a lot of places do that. My last boss was CEO/Tech support and he didn’t give a damn what we looked at so long as our work wasn’t lacking.
Hell I showed him THIS video AT WORK!!! LOL!!!!!

You might have to wait a week or so for some more, but there’ll be plenty of them…..no more spoilers….

          Ok!
Well it’s dozing time in the UK, so I’ll be ‘seeing’ you sometime tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your kind words and helpful advice too.
          G’night Gwin

  3. Cool feature from 1969. I remember the first computer I ever used, it took up an entire room to operate. ☺

And from your picture, we all had a transistor radio back then, it’s where we got the snow reports and school cancellations when the power died. (And, it did, often.)

    1. LOL! I remember seeing those huge systems!
The first computer I remember was from RadioShack. For some reason I think it was called a TRS 80. My dad bought one and it had a freaking cassette tape player—not even a floppy disk! LOL!

  4. Within the first 20 seconds of watching, Mama selected an ensemble that closely resembles what Gilligan was wearing when he set sail for the Island. I am loving this! LOL! And then Daddy gets home and sees all the shit she has purchased! LOL
