Linguine for 1-15-2016 post Pasta and Clams  from Carrabba’s

I am obsessed with eating good food!  This is not news to anyone who knows me personally.  In essence, one might say that I possess a significant gastronomic appreciation for every morsel of food that I gulp down.  Some folks might take offense at the thought of watching me gulp down a plate of food.  If you fall into that category, you probably should avoid inviting me to breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Now, if you do choose to invite me for a meal please know that I am just as comfortable at a roadside rib shack, a working class diner (I see you Waffle House!), casual restaurant (I see you too Carrabbas!) or a fine dining establishment that specializes in haute cuisine.  You should also know that I take the multicultural approach when it comes to my eating proclivities.  In other words, I am equally happy…

I’m from the Caribbean so that word ‘greedy’ is also associated with being overweight because the person in question simply cannot exercise self control when it comes to food. They eat beyond what the body needs and that’s their ‘normal’ .

I would consider, and often refer to my dog as greedy, because she’ll eat her breakfast or dinner, then simply stand there as if what she had wasn’t enough. And yes she is overweight.

If this description applies to you then the word also applies.

However, if you have a healthy appreciation for food but can have a sensibly portioned and well-balanced meal, then I would say you’re more of a ‘foodie’.

I’m know I’m late, trying to catch up on my reading, but that’s my answer. ☺

Lmao I have to disagree. Foodie is just a PC way for a person to promote their gluttony. Hahahahahahahahahahaha I’m cold. Lmao. On some real ish, I’m just hating because I can’t be a true foodie. I’m allergic to strawberries and seafood and shellfish.

  3. I tend to be on Team Foodie. You have a discerning and adventurous palate and you are not intimidated by trying new foods. You know and appreciate the nuances in flavoring and texture. Simply put, you savor each bite. To you, food is not simply fuel to sustain, it is an experience. And that’s the way it should be. God gave us taste buds for a reason.
Greedy? That’s a totally different mindset. It’s more about the amount and not the refined flavors. But it may be possible to be a greedy foodie?
    That linguine looks divine…

    1. Hey Tessa! Girl I love that thoughtful response and I agree, God wants us to enjoy life and that includes having and savoring good food.
But girl I think I might be a greedy foodie! You got me pegged just right😘

        2. That sounds divine. I was at the local (K Roger, pronounced “kay-ro-jay”) on Friday night and got some seafood myself! We are down to one kiddo tonight, it’s almost her bedtime and it’s gonna be a GOOD night around here!

        3. Yes they do! I had one reader come all the way from Oregon to interview me for her book (She follows my other blog…one that you recently began following, that I keep incognito, but I know you know “What’s Happening”)
