  1. Love Canada! The Scenery is beautiful. I was suppose to visit Canada last July for my birthday. Unfortunately, I got into a horrible car crash two weeks before I was going to go! 2017 will be the year I will make my travels there!! Can’t wait!! 🙂

  2. I plan to get my passport very very soon. When I go to Downtown Detroit, you can literally see Windsor Ontario Canada. It’s pretty cool. You’re looking at them, they’re looking at you lol. Toronto is a 4 hour drive away. I can’t wait!

      1. She is the media darling. All the hipsters love her. Frankly, she reminds me of the annoying girl in your history class that always has the right answers or thinks she does and never shuts up. Then she smacks you in the face with how iconoclastic she is…….UGH. #STFU #GTFO

Hi Gwin, and I was just posting a reply to a reply of yours.
Nice sentiments and lovely photos. A good homage to your neighbours in the north.
So I guess you know who won the presidential election.
    What’s the word then Gwin?

    1. The Trumpster pulled it off.
A hot mess if you ask me.
My children are in utter disbelief. Shaken.
Sadly, after I saw Brexit happen earlier this year I KNEW a Trump presidency was a huge possibility.
      It’s horrible.

Very astute Gwin, there’s a wave of disillusionment (some genuine, some indoctrinated, some just weird) sweeping westwards. Question I ask myself is as Trump is not a true 100% republican and the republicans hold both houses, will he as president control them, or will they are legislature control him? I reckon that will be quite a tussle .
Meanwhile here in the UK, the predictable has happened. The hosts of supposed my fellow travellers on the Left are squawking and gabbling and blaming ‘Americans’, as if all of you voted for Trump.
I tell ya, there is nothing so embarrassing as UK left-wing folk who think they are savvy or witty trying to be clever or witty about the USA; they sometimes make the most crass generalisations which if taken one step further are racist, homophobic or at least xenophobic.
Meanwhile we have reality to deal with.
I’m working on my own post.
        Thinking of all you guys
        Roger

        1. I know right? That’s the part that I can’t wait to see. Just how is he going to keep all of those promises that he made? Who in congress is going to work with a faux Republican?
I see people over here saying: “Maybe we should go to the UK?” I thought to myself…”Ever heard of Brexit?” Same phenomenon-different country!
I don’t know if it’s true but I have heard that the Canadian immigration website was so overwhelmed that it couldn’t handle the traffic and went offline for a span of time.
I am shaking my head but I am sooooo not surprised 😦
My daughter cried all morning. Her question, “How can we pick a President that teases handicapped people and everybody else?”
          I didn’t have an answer.
Thanks for being an excellent listening ear my friend 🙂

We must share out woes Gwin.
Tell people not to bother coming over here. Aside from Brexit we have the unholy alliance of self-appointed pundits, self-proclaimed wits, hack writers and all their acolytes who are currently blaming all of America for Trump. In their rush to be the first to be seen so clever they are quite unaware they are displaying a crass ignorance of the US and also inadvertently making racists, homophobic and sexist remarks. So any American who comes over here will be insulted for allowing Trump. And then we have our own home-growing knuckle dragging white supremacists.
I am so sorry for your daughter. All I can say, is that now Trump is going to be Pres, he will have to grow up…damn fast!!
          Hang on in there guys.
All our best wishes to you.

        3. Thank you so much for that sage advice, Roger. You’ve offered a huge insight to the internal goings on in the UK. I feel so lucky to have you as my own personal English Commentator 🙂
You always give a fair and thorough assessment of things.
          Thanks for that 🙂
Either way, i guess we’ll see how things progress. I will remain cautiously optimistic 🙂

Glad to be your ‘Letter From The UK’.
You are so correct and a bit of a beacon too. Optimism is the only way, with constructive opposition, that is your right.. still working on my post on this election, there’s been a great deal of commentary to consider. This is too important to rant over.
Take care you and yours Gwin

        5. Thank you Roger 🙂
Honestly, it does help to know that we all are struggling with challenges-worldwide.
knowing this has helped me to be less US centered.
Since I started blogging, I have made friends with folks all over the world and I am now more personally invested in what goes on in Europe, Africa, India and so forth.
Everyone should be so lucky 🙂
Glad to have you Roger 🙂

Yep, we are all part of one world. If it happens ‘there’, it will finally affect us ‘here’.
Was it Sly & The Family Stone ‘Everyday People’?
And glad to know you too Gwin!
          All the best
