Greetings from 1982!

To paraphrase a quote from the great Spencer Tracy, Lady G is officially inaccessible to anything in the way of reasoning!

Or something like that!

I’ve never had a problem with completely botching a quote!

YAAASSSS!

Anyway,

My friends, I have completely lost it and I am currently residing in 1982!

Why?

Because I simply cannot with 2016 right now.

I’ll do my best to keep in touch!

In the meantime, it’s TV night and I am about to watch “The New Odd Couple” with Ron Glass and Demond Wilson.

It’s my favorite episode!

The one where “Frances” (Telma Hopkins) moves in!

Everything is Kool and the Gang!

Take care my loves and Godspeed!

-Lady G 😘💋

Ron Glass:   July 10, 1945-November 25, 2016

Rest in Peace 🌹

    1. HEY!!!!!
There’s my beautiful little walking owl!
      How are you Eve?
I’m glad you liked this post.
Girl, I been in 1982 since the election! As I have joked with others, there is no Reagan or Thatcher here in this alternate ’82—so it really is all good!
If you should decide to join me please know that I’m looking out for you and you know I’ll guide you right on in!!!
By the way, thank you so much for that beautiful affirmation.
I really need it today 😉
Peace and many blessings to you love 🙂

      1. Would love to grab on to the comet tail of your time machine swooshin by. I am one of those laid back kind of ladies … however 😜 … every morning my first thoughts are pretty much OMG … and there is definitely no YAAAAASSSS associated with it! Well … maybe if you took the Y off the front of that. 😂 Thank you for the blessings. Can never have too many of those. Peace on ya.

  2. Mr. Ron Glass! Barney Miller. Demond Wilson of Sanford and Son. I forgot all about this show. I am all in with ’82. Celebrate good times, c’mon! I know this is from the 70’s but can we please add some Chic into the mix? How about Just Be Good to Me from my favorite, The SOS Band? I’m grabbing my leg warmers now. Just what I needed Lady G. A light, fun blog. Thank you! 🙂

    1. Giiiiirrrl! You’re pulling out some heavy hitters in the world of R&B! Where were you when I was doing the My Jams series? You would have loved it! It was a party every Thursday!

      YAAASSS!

Here is the one from 1982 (Be warned, these used coarse language and were sassy as hell)

      1. Tonto- jump on it, jump on it! The Sugarhill Gang. Ray Parker Jr and Raydio, George Benson……loved the Jams, Lady G. Do you write fiction? If you don’t, you should seriously consider writing a book. You have an ear for dialogue.

        1. Thank you Susan. Actually this style of writing is new for me.
I began toying with it when I started the blog back in January.
Historically, most of my writing experience was from a very technical POV. My background is heavy in education and training so I often had to create a lot of technical and policy based content and educational materials for clients.
But that’s way more than you wanted to know-I’m sure.
I just so appreciate your kind words. It helps to know that I’m doing something right 🙂

        2. No, I like hearing about people’s backgrounds. Probably the reason why you are able to write dialogue well, is because the type of writing you do demands attention to detail. You are doing a lot of things right, Lady G! You are bringing joy to people. That is a very hard commodity to come by these days.

        1. LOL!!! Alright now, you gon’ make me pull out “Love has come around!” It was about that time wasn’t it?

          Meanwhile….

          Alright, Alex!
          For the win…
          What is…T. Wayne’s trippin?

You don’t need to tell me I won!
BTW, did you see this with Tom Hanks?

        2. T. Wayne

In reverse: Yes I did see it. Laughed my ass off!

Yes, retro trippin’! Here’s an old go-go classic for my Twin:

Pull it out then! I’m going to break Susan off with that SOS Band in a sec…

  3. 216 has not been the best vintage. Perhaps I should crawl under the duvet and wait for 2017. Maybe it won’t be as bad. Maybe, but I’m not holding my breath.
Good luck for 1982. A lot of good things happened to me that year, so I may just slip back.

    1. YAAASSSS! I’m kinda bummed out because they say I’m too young to come up to the nursery to see you.
I overheard the nurses talking bout how cute and rambunctious you are 🙂
      LOL!!! It’s 1982!!!!!!!!
