Smile!

Anyway, here’s how we said goodbye to 2016 and hello to 2017!

  1. All that food looks good! I’m drooling over them chicken wings!

And nah – pictures aren’t boring. Keep them coming! Speaking of footage, I got video of you from the day before New Years. I’m not lying!! This is what happened: one of your family members asked you “what you cooking for New Years?”, and then you turned around said this:

      1. Lmaooo I swear these youngsters will turn ANYTHING into a video! I watched the whole video from Pastor Shirley Caesar in which she says that and she was going OFF! She was bringing that heat and catching the holy ghost! When I saw all those food pics I was like “word? Lady G got greens, beans, potatoes, tomatoes..” lmaoooooooooooo

  2. Ah! you look like you cooked up a storm. So did we – except that we were outside all night. (It’s damn hot here Chile) Had a braai (barbeque) and I swear I’ve seen enough of meat.

It was a great bonding time with close family friends and somehow this time was extra special. No guessing who the DJ was.
So my 15 year old (Miss Alex) is now trying to turn us all into vegetarians, By next year she surely will be Vegan. Nevertheless, I admire her discipline. Just before Midnight, each had to say what we wanted to leave behind of 2016. For most of us – them pounds or kilos from all that meat ha!ha! But as you’ve noted my poems continued to address that question.

See you again shortly Lady G😀

    1. I love reading about your traditions, I really do! Maybe the Universe will someday find us at a braai together!
As for your daughter. You won’t believe this but I kinda feel her. I played with vegetarian and veganism but one thing’s for sure, if you are going to be vegan, you must be highly vigilant as there are meat by-products in damn near EVERYTHING! LOL!!
I gave it up and went back to eating meat.
Now, having said all of that, I guarantee you that Miss Alex will probably be the one to stick to it for life! Usually when a person commits at that young an age they mean business!
      I’ll see you later love!

      1. Hey Sweetheart, I believe in possibilities so hold that thought and visualise standing around that fire – not too distant though. I don’t want to be holding onto a Zimmer frame 😀
I think you are right about my girl – I always say that she’s an old soul.
It’s past midnight here so I’ll catch you on the other side. Goodnight Lady G.💞
