Sunday Comfort: Homemade Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes/gravy, English Peas and Vegetable medley

Yep! Lady G’s been up since 7:00am EST!

Cooking in the kitchen!

It’s about sunday comfort!

Oh yeah, Daddy is here to help Lady J and I with the garden project that I blogged about last week!

Meatloaf and mashed potatoes are his favorite…sooo…

Voilà!

But ya know what?

It’s raining cats and dogs here in Georgia and Lady J says it’s not supposed to stop until next Sunday!

Curses!

That’s not what I wanted to hear!

Let’s just pray that she’s giving me 11-year-old hyperbole!

LOL!

Daddy spent a whole bunch of time in Germany!

Hence the word “Germany” tacked up on his Military Police Beret.

If you’ve been following this blog, you probably already know that I’ve always wanted to go there.

My son says that when I’m about 90 years old he plans to sit me on his future back-porch, point to a bunch of trees and say, “Hey mama! Look at all that Germany back there! ”

He swears I won’t know the difference! LOL!!

  4. MMM does that look delish!!!! My fave!!! My bf is coming to visit me for two whole weeks, and that’ll definitely be on the menu! Even if he doesn’t like it lol!!! In which case he can have a peanut butter sammich, lolol!! xox

  5. Oh that meatloaf looks fabulous! I wish my family liked it… But alas, I’m the only true blue American out of us, hehe! Your Daddy looks so very handsome in his uniform, very distinguished (I just love older pictures)! And I have to giggle about what your son said! Sad but probably so very true, hahahaha! I hope you make it to Germany before then though!! 😄

      The sole true blue huh? You know I forgot that your hubby is a product of the UK (right?)
      Oh and thanks for the compliment on my Dad. He really was a looker back then. LOL!
      And, my son will get a kick out of knowing that you found humor in his little plan to take me to ‘Germany.’ LOL!!!!! But I hope I do make it before 90! LOL!

      Believe it or not, I was never a huge meatloaf fan either but Dad loves it sooooo….LOL!!!

        7. I might have a shot of tequila but lately I’ve found that even a little bit of alcohol gives me a headache. I have to chase it with tons of water. That said, I really don’t drink very often.
