Storms Make Strange Bedfellows

StormsPost

LadyG is smack dab in the middle of Tropical Storm Irma land!

This morning our power went out just long enough to scare me into submission!

Thankfully, it came back on an hour later.

Best believe, right after that, I went into cook for your life mode!

Baby, I started cooking, baking and prepping food…any food!

You should have seen my kitchen!

It felt like I was Snoopy cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for Peppermint Patty and friends!

Toast, jellybeans, popcorn! Insubordinate folding chairs…

Oh my!

LOL!

Ok, I’m fibbing a bit, but I did end up cooking things with no rhyme or reason…all in an attempt to be prepared in case we lose power again….which I suspect we will.

I also made sure to wash up all the clothes and get out the lanterns, candles and flashlights.

For my friends and family in the Caribbean and Florida–in particular– I pray that you are safe.

To my friends and family in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee, I pray that you are preparing and that you will be safe as well.

God willing and if the creek don’t rise…we’ll ‘see’ each other before too long!

Love and light to you all!

Lady G 😘

      1. I thought I left a comment! Idk! Lol. I didn’t get affected by Harvey because I’m on the other side of the state. My sister and two friends in Houston did. One friend lost everything. Luckily my sister and other friend got a little bit of flooding but nothing major.

        1. Hey Lisa! This was in my spam for some reason. Glad to know that your folks weren’t really affected but I do feel bad for your friend that lost everything.
We just have to remember that things can be replaced; lives can’t.
