Greetings!
I just wanted to step back on the blog after a long hiatus to check in with you guys!
I have truly missed you all, and I want you to know that you were never far away from my heart.
So, let’s talk about the title of this post…
Today marks an exciting new beginning! To be specific, my dear cousin Ron and I are planning to do several collaborative projects that will involve writing, shooting videos and possibly podcasting.
Many of you will remember our collaborations during the early days of this blog. In fact, Ron is featured here under the category “Ron’s Time Tunnel.”
He is also heavily featured, along with your’s truly, under the “Flowering Vine” category where we detail our Southern roots; not to mention the complexities of race.
For those of you who do not know, Ron and I are first cousins. His mother and my father are siblings. And, frankly, the “Flowering Vine” is a great place to start for folks who are interested in getting to know our family.
But, I digress….
Just know that Ron, a veteran of The United States Air Force, is a magnificent writer and storyteller who has his own blog.
In addition to the writing that he does there, he recently completed his Master’s degree.
YAAAAY and congratulations!
Suffice it to say, Cuz has been BUSY!!!!
Anyway, today, I am so happy to present a video of Ron speaking at his church during a Friends and Family Celebration for Black History Month.
Now, before we proceed, I must inform you that the video was recorded on a cell phone and it is a bit grainy…Not to mention the fact that I had to crop out a couple of beautiful church hats!
LOL!
Hey! Speaking of church hats, Ron wrote about those magnificent adornments in this post.
Moving on!
Despite the technical constraints, I’d like to take time to thank my cousin, Aleshia, Ron’s sister, for recording the festivities.
NOW…
Here’s the video and I hope you enjoy it!
Please feel free to comment.
Love and light, LadyG 😘💋💋
Liked Ron’s video!! And G., your voice is so charming & attractive! 😉 Now here’s something u may like. I have a live-in honey now, John Boone, and he sings tenor in his church choir. Here they are this past Sunday singing a gospel song – in Zulu! I love it! Enjoy! https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=207803147073774

You are sooooo sweet. I wondered if you were still snuggling up with your sweetie pie. 😊
Guess what? I was in Canada this summer! I was on the West coast though ( Victoria B. C.). I LOVED IT!
I can’t wait to listen to your honey. Can I see it without FB? I don’t have an account. I’ll try though.
Anyway, good to hear from you, you’re such a doll. ❤️

No, I can’t but maybe Ron can, he has FB. Is it on YouTube or anything like that?

Darn, it’s not on YouTube, no. John is surprised you weren’t able to view it. What happens when you try? In any case, Ron can view it… which doesn’t really help you, though. Ay yi.

Hey Ron, I replied to you with the translation of the Zulu song, but now I look and can’t see it! So I’ll paste it here. It’s pretty simple:
We are marching in the light of God
We are marching in the light of God.
Leader:We are marching in the light of God,
We are marching in the light of God.
[in the light of God]
We are marching… ooh
[We are marching, marching, we are marching, marching,]
We are marching in the light of God.
[the light of God]
We are marching… ooh
[We are marching, marching, we are marching, marching,]
We are marching in the light of God.

Yayyyyyy! I’m looking sooo forward to working with you again! Your creativity, confidence and journalistic skills were so evident in your videos with your brother (my Cuz) Tack and your friends. I knew I wanted to be a part of that in some way—any way! So, let’s do this Cuz. I hope our blogging friends will find this as exciting as I do. Yayyyyyyy Team, 🏉🏈🏀⚽️⚾️😊😊

Yaaaaay! I can now breathe a sigh of relief because I didn’t get to show it to you before I posted it. Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement. I love you man ❤️💋🙏🏽 I hope that we can do more of your insightful and moving orations! LOL💋💋💋

Yes, definitely! I’m sorry I kept you from breathing for so long.😂 I attended a couple of church services. So, it took me a while to get back to the site. But YES! more orations are definitely in order and from you as well with your smooth, silky, and when appropriate, sexy delivery.
