LadyG comes from a working class family, so I know how to be broke; I meant frugal.
Trust me when I tell you that I am very well prepared to educate you on making do when times are hard.
Now then…
Most of the things that I am about to share in this post, I learned as a kid, and perfected when I went away to college!
Can you say, “canned Spam?”
Best believe, LadyG knows a little sumthin’ about the thrifty life.
Anyway, before I get sidetracked, allow me to define today’s terms AND use them in a sentence à la grammar school.
Terms:
Frugal: Characterized by or reflecting economy in the use of resources.
Whereas, in this context, the word “economy” is defined as: thrifty and efficient use of material resources
Broke: penniless
Terms used in a sentence:
One must become frugal in order to avoid becoming broke!
YAAASSS!
LadyG has earned an A+ !
And so,
Today’s audio is a structured ramble, if you will, that details 6 things you can do, as we say in the South, to pinch a penny til it hollers; thereby stretching your coronavirus stimulus check!
If you like this post, please share it and don’t forget to holler at me in comments 🙂
LadyG loves you 🙂
Run time: About 10 minutes
*Important Note: LadyG retains the right to CONFUSE “dishwashing detergent” with “dishwasher detergent.”
**May contain adult language
Definition of terms: Merriam-Webster Dictionary
I was laughing through most of the audio playback. The dumpster dive really got me. Though that ain’t happening where I live here.
You do that, then, you have just signed your warrant for admission into a psychiatric ward😄😀
The stretching with water is something I have had to do lately too….
Nice post. Your voice and down to earth nature also made it worthwhile.
Good job!

Interesting ideas, girl! Do you have any thoughts on a substitute for Kleenex tissues? I just ordered a big package containing a bunch of boxes. They just emailed me saying the estimated time of delivery is in JUNE. Looks like we’ll be using either paper towels for our noses – or old t-shirts? LOLOL!

Hey Girl, this is when the struggle is real and you’re dirt poor. Been there except now that you mention it, we seemed to always be giving the cups of sugar, salt, oil etc etc. Barter supposed to work both ways. 😂😉I don’t wanna go back there girl but I guess we can never say never.
We have had a ban on the sale of alcohol that”s driving many up the wall, especially those who don’t have money for food. So suddenly there is value in old potato peels and mouldy bread to make what you might call moonshine.
Anyway, very useful and entertaining tips. Btw, I’m back on the blog. Will check you out again soon ❤️❤️ Chevvy

CHEVVVVVVVVVVY!!!!!! You’re BACK!!!! MY LOVE!!!!
I laughed so hard when you said that you guys were the ones always giving the sugar, salt, oil !!! LOL!!
Fortunately, ours was mutual, so everybody borrowed what they needed until they could buy it.
Girl, I don’t know what would haooen in these United States if they banned alcohol! Chile!
So the people in S.A. are running around finding ways to make their own! WOW!!!
Frankly, that’s a major health issues for a true alcoholic; in fact, it could be fatal!
So anyway, I’m on my way over to your place! LOL!! Love you!

Lol. Cool post Lady! I wish I had nice neighbors to barter with but unfortunately I don’t. Well…ok I take that back. Only one is alright. I should be nicer because they’re older. I haven’t seen them come out of their home too much these days! I’m on the hunt for toilet paper today. LOL. Keep being safe!
