Halloween Edition of A Family Conversation: Everyday People Engage in Folk Magick All The Time & “The Client” (Part II)

A Family Conversation, an ongoing conversation between blogging cousins, Ron Brown and Lady G, is celebrating the time of year when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds becomes paper thin.

More magick and mystery with the cousins!

With prompting from “The Client,” today we’re talking about:

  • The risks involved in seeking spiritual/ magickal guidance
  • Everyday people blending magick with religious and spiritual practices
  • “Shut your mouth powder” on the shelf in the back
  • Whether or not governments practice magick
  • Whether or not you have to believe in a spell to be affected by it
  • Psychosomatic or psychogenic or NEITHER
  • A warning to men about eating spaghetti sauce, chili and gumbo made by women they are casually dating
  • The mind as a powerful thing!
  • Thinner by Stephen King
  • Taking a measured approach to magick
  • Staying out of other folks business
  • Things worse than death

  3. Mmmkay y’all know I got some comments lol
First of all, the metaphysical store I go to has all the voodoo stuff in the back, too 🤣
Secondly, yeah I think whatever you believe is what can happen. And third…are you two talking about Lovecraft Country? I think you’d like it, unless you are easily frightened.

    1. GURL! Everybody keep telling me to watch that show. I saw a short trailer for it and thought naaaah… I see enough racism everyday on “real live” TV. I simply cannot!

Oh, you mentioned your “metaphysical store”–the thing is, the store I’m talking about bills itself as a vitamin and health food store where you can get your little green smoothie shit and some vitamins and a few essential oils; they don’t even mention anything about metaphysics, roots, berries and spells! Chile, they are seriously on the low-low-down low! LOL!!! I’m like, come on out with it! Come out the broom closet. Hell, all the root workers know what you got! LOL!!!!
But wait….we aint’ finished yet…the conversation goes even further. Stay tuned.
Can’t wait to see what you gone say NEXT! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
