Today, I’m bringing you guys along with me in the kitchen while I prepare for Thanksgiving dinner.
In this video, you’ll watch me prep my cornbread for the dressing.
Sorry, there’s no “stuffing” in this Georgia kitchen.
LOL!
Check out the video to see what else I’m doing.
Comment below if you have any questions.
I may upload a follow-up video to show next steps–we shall see.
Enjoy!

Dressing is one of my absolute favorite dishes that my mom makes! But I’ve never had the cornbread baked in a cast iron 😍 I’m sure that puts it on another level.
And I don’t think I’ve ever had stuffin’. What is it even??!

GURL! Okaaaaaayy!!! What is stuffin? LOL!!!
And yes, try heating up the oil in your cast iron skillet first then adding the cornbread batter. It makes your cornbread kinda crispy on the outside but moist inside.

I 💜 this! All the Southern things—cast iron skillet, homemade cornbread, and DRESSING, not Stuffing. Endearing things a Southern Mom passes down to her Southern Girl🧚🏿♂️. Excellent advice on timing and prepping for the big meal. I didn’t know you should only add salt to the water after it begins to boil, so thanks for the tip! So thankful to have you as my lifetime friend, Lady G🙏🏾. Sending love/joy to you and the fam during this Thanksgiving season.
Hugs,
