Evening PorchTalk Podcast With LadyG: An Autumn Walk In The Park | History Known, Unknown And Untold

In today’s video, we take a walk through one of Georgia’s oldest parks.

In fact, some say it’s one of the oldest parks in the United States.

Of course, this time of year, I can’t help thinking about all of the history that occurred here…

Known, unknown and untold.

Enjoy the video!

  1. Oh, super cool! Love this and love hearing your voice again! Okay, truth be told, I had to Google what you said to Google… fascinating and kind of sad history I really knew nothing about. Anyway, gorgeous park! Thank you for the view! (You still owe me dinner one day, 😁) ❤

    1. Paula! My love! So good to hear from you! Yes! I owe you a good meal as soon as you 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ (run) my way!
And yes honey this is “trail of tears” territory.
In fact, my parents are from Eufaula, Alabama where Muscogee/Creek people are from.
When they were driven out, they ended up in Oklahoma where they renamed their new home “Eufaula” after their old home.
Well….at least that’s what we were taught and current knowledge seems to make this sound pretty credible.
