NOT Breaking News: Because We Need A Freaking Break!

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of my stomach perpetually seizing in anticipation of any number of domestic and global cataclysms.

And so…

I’ve decided to offer us all some respite in the form of a video that highlights three off-beat/inspiring news stories.

Rest assured, there is absolutely NO breaking news to be found anywhere near here.

By the way, I won’t be offended if the video bores you to sleep.

Honestly, that’s my intention!

Refreshing huh?

Enjoy.

Today, I’m bringing you guys along with me in the kitchen while I prepare for Thanksgiving dinner.

In this video, you’ll watch me prep my cornbread for the dressing.

Sorry, there’s no “stuffing” in this Georgia kitchen.

LOL!

Check out the video to see what else I’m doing.

Comment below if you have any questions.

I may upload a follow-up video to show next steps–we shall see.

Enjoy!

A Family Conversation (Part II): “5 Minutes to Midnight”

“A Family Conversation” is a storytelling audio series that features weekly discussions between blogging cousins LadyG and Ron Brown on current events along with favorite posts from each other’s blog.

***********************************************************************

In part II, we discuss the increasing darkness that we’ve seen during this year.

Ron’s piece, “5 Minutes to Midnight,” implores us to wake up before we find ourselves out of time.

Don’t worry, we find a way to infuse humor into the situation 🙂

A Family Conversation (Part I): “Shattered”

“A Family Conversation” is a storytelling audio series that features weekly discussions between blogging cousins LadyG and Ron Brown on current events along with favorite posts from each other’s blog.

A mirror shattered into a thousand pieces;

A thousand different reflections;

A mystery which never ceases;

A future with infinite refractions.

-Ron Brown

In part I of today’s discussion, we discuss Ron’s poem, “Shattered.”

In this piece, Ron paints a sobering picture of how family violence can erupt into the unthinkable.

No doubt, this holiday season, with its additional stressors, will be exponentially difficult for victims of domestic violence.

We keep them in prayer.

In this video (*audio version only below*), I talk about “the shift” and discuss more about how I am planning to prepare for it.

Expect some rambling, but that’s what I do.
